Aparna is a post graduate in business management. She was introduced to the world of dance at a tender age of five. Initially a Mohiniyattam dancer, she has performed on various prestigious platforms which includes Natyanjali, Chidambaram. Well appreciated dance drama on Palazhi Madanam was written by Aparna herself.

Now she is under the tutelage of Guru B.Bhanumathi and Smt. Sheela Chandrashekar of Nritya Kalamandiram. Aparna is 'A' graded artist of Doordarshan and empanelled artist in Festival of India Cell Abroad. She has participated in several performances of Nritya Kalamandiram which includes Brahmotsava at ISKON temple, Friday programme in ICCR, etc. She has also done solo Bharatanatyam performances in Every Friday programme ICCR, Soorya Festival, Chilanka Festival, Brahan Natyanjali, Chitambaram, Cuttack Mahotsav, Doordashan, Chidambaram Natyanjali, Sai Nrityotsava in Bangalore and Chennai Music Academy, Onam Utsav organized by Government of Kerala to name a few.

Aparna also has been learning Hindustani music under the tutelage of Smt. Rina Basu. She is Director of Tharang Academy of Arts, Whitefield which is organizing Tharang Utsav 2013. Aparna is a gifted writer in Malayalam and many songs written by her has been broadcasted in All India Radio. Her journey as a writer has taken a turn into screen writing. She has penned dialogues of two Malayalam movies ‘Kalyani’ and ‘Manjadikuru’.
